Optical characteristics of γ-irradiated polymer fiber based on polystyrene

Experimental results of an investigation into x-ray-, photoluminescence and relaxation of induced absorption spectrum of γ-irradiated (0 - 107 Gy) organic scintillated fibers based on polystyrene are presented. Radiation stability limits of the investigated fibers by the intensity of luminescence and induced absorption are estimated. Demanding for the induced absorption radiation color centers resulting in the fiber during its γ irradiation with the dose less than 104 Gy are completely annealed at room temperature during 17 hour
Abstract (Russian)
Представлены экспериментальные результаты исследования рентгено-, фотолюминесценции и релаксации спектра наведенного поглощения γ-облученных (0 - 107 Гр) органических сцинтилляционных волокон на основе полистирола. Даются оценки для пределов радиационной устойчивости исследуемых волокон по интенсивности люминесценции и наведенному поглощению. Ответственные за наведенное поглощение радиационные центры окраски, образующиеся в волокне при его γ-облучении дозой менее 104 Гр, полностью отжигаются при комнатной температуре за 17 часовAdditional details
