Necessary conditions for exciting a beam of electrons in a double plasma machine

Description

In this paper we investigate the necessary discharge conditions in our experimental array in order to excite an electron beam. We have measured the basic parameters of Argon plasma such as electron temperature (Te), electron density (Ne) and plasma potential (Vp) as a function of source chamber discharge current (Id), neutral gas pressure (pAr) and the bias voltage (Vb) applied between the source and target anode.
