Description
A brief review of the development of respiratory nuclear medicine was made. Stresses were placed on perfusion and ventilation studies for diagnosis and estimation of regional respiratory lung function and on radioaerosol inhalation lung cine-scintigraphy for dynamic evaluation of mucociliary clearance mechanisms as a test of non-respiratory lung function.
