Large high-temperature gas-cooled reactor medium-enriched uranium spent fuel element definitions and block flows
Description
This report describes the medium-enriched uranium, thorium-based fuel cycle for a large high temperature gas-cooled reactor (LHTGR). Although primary emphasis is on defining the isotopic inventories of spent fuel elements, the total fuel cycle is discussed along with the LHTGR core and the reprocessing/refabrication facility, the methodology used to characterize the spent fuel elements, and the data pertaining to fissile and fertile particle construction, fresh fuel specifications, and block flows
