The use of the mathematical model to choice conditions for cation exchange separation of rare earth microquantities by mandelic acid aqueous-acetone solutions
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
A method based on the developed mathematical model of the process of complex-forming chromatography is proposed to calculate process parameters providing the specified separation purity of ions having similar properties at minimum consumption of complex forming substance and minimum time. The method is used for the choice of cation exchange separation mode of 152Eu and 144Ce by aqueous-acetone solutions of mandelic acid. It is shown that from solutions of studied composition it is more expedient to use sodium mandelate solutions in 40% acetone for the separation of microquantities of rare earth elements
