Measurements of radon concentrations and exhalation rate from some construction materials used in Riyad region, Saudi Arabia
- 1. Physics Department, Girls College of Education, Riyad, (Saudi Arabia)
Description
Passive integrated C R-39 plastic track detectors were used to measure the radon concentrations and exhalation rates from six construction materials used in Riyad region during summer (a period of 4272 h) and winter (a period of 1440 h) seasons. The Rn concentrations for the products of materials varies from 77.523 to 311.074 Bqm-4 during summer and from 18.434 to 486.644 Bqm-3 during winter. The Rn exhalation rate for the final products varies from 10.877 to 43.644 m Bqm-3h-1 during summer and from 2.760 to 72.869 m Bqm-3h-1 during winter
