VCN-UCN facility and neutron bottle experiments in KUR

Description
A very cold and ultracold neutron facility was installed in KUR. This facility consists of a VCN guide tube, a VCN bender, a supermirror neutron turbine and associated experimental equipments. The constructions and the characteristics of these equipments are presented. UCN generation is much intensified with the cold neutron source operated with liquid deuterium. The blades of the neutron turbine have now been exchanged to the five mirror type to improve the UCN flux. The neutron containments in a small test bottle with nickel mirrors are carried out.
