Axial dynamics of the electron beam in the plasma beat-wave accelerator

Description
Using the sheet model for the electron beam, a system of one-dimensional nonlinear equations has been constructed that describes the dynamics of the beam along with that of the three complex wave amplitudes in the plasma beat-wave accelerator scheme. This system can give directly the acceleration rate in terms of the basic parameters of the process. copyright 1996 American Institute of Physics
