State vector collapse as a classical statistical effect of measurement
Description
It is postulated in this chapter that measurement induced state vector collapse results from a fundamental ambiguity in our understanding of the relation between quantum mechanics and classical statistical mechanics. The classical limits and statistical properties of quantum states are explored, and alternative interpretations of classical statistical mechanics are offered. (UK)
