Description

18F-FDG is generally used for tumors' PET, and it is the most and widest useful positron radiopharmaceutical in the clinic. But it does not have enough sensitivity and specificity for some kinds of tumors. 11C-acetate has different distribution in body and uptaken mechanism by cell from 18F-FDG. Many studies have confirmed that 11C-acetate has the potential value to make up the insufficiency of 18F-FDG.
