3D modeling on CERT based on WGOTHIC

Description

The passive containment model has been developed using WGOTHIC. Condensation heat and mass transfer from the volumes to the containment shell, conduction through the shell, and evaporation from the shell to the riser were all calculated using the special CLIMEs model which is developed for PCS. In this paper, The WGOTHIC is used to model both condensation and evaporation heat and mass transfer process by distributed parameter method. The analysis results were compared to those from both lumped parameter method of WGOTHIC and CERT test bench. As preliminary code consolidation effort, it is feasible to use distributed parameter method of WGOTHIC code as a tool to analysis the passive containment response. (authors)
