Efficiency calibration of neutron detectors with 252Cf spontaneous fission neutrons
- 1. Academia Sinica, Beijing, BJ (China). Inst. of Atomic Energy
Description
The efficiency curves of several scintillation neutron detectors are experimentally calibrated with 252Cf spontaneous fission neutrons at the low energy range and theoretically calculated with a code NEFF4. The relative efficiency curves obtained with experimental calibrations are normalized and connected to the calculations. The calculated efficiency curves are corrected according to the trends of the experimental points near the thresholds. The paper will mainly describe the technique of the experimental calibrations
