Thermoluminescence characteristics of various detectors for X ray diagnostic measurements

Description
The photon energy dependence of LiF:Mg,Cu,P (produced in Poland) as compared to LiF:Mg,Ti,TLD-700 and CaF2:Mn was measured using X rays and 60Co and 137Cs γ ray radiation in two Secondary Standard Dosimetric Laboratories. The reproducibility of the response of all dosimetric systems was also studied at the primary beam of a diagnostic X ray unit. LiF:Mg,Ti and TLD-700 have been used to measure patient doses during chest organ examinations in diagnostic radiology of children to analyse the dose estimations in radiation fields that were not well defined.
