Clinical significance of determination of changes of serum CA125, TNF-α and TSGF levels after operation in patients with ovarian cancer
Description
Objective: To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum CA125, TNF-α, and TSGF levels after operation in patients with ovarian cancer. Methods: Serum levels of CA125, TNF-α (with RIA) and TSGF (with bio chemistry) were determined in 33 patients with ovarian cancer both before and after operation and 35 controls. Results: Before operation serum CA125, TNF-α and TSGF levels were significantly higher in the patients than those in controls (P<0.01), Six months after operation, the levels were not significantly different from those in controls (P>0.05). Conclusion: Detection of serum CA125, TNF-α and TSGF levels was useful for assessment of therapeutic efficacy and was of important clinical values in patients with ovarian cancer. (authors)
