Thermodynamic characteristics of systems with solid solutions of crystallohydrates of lanth noid and yttrium chlorides at 25 deg C

Description
For the systems CeCl3-LnCl3-H2O (where Ln=Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Y) with solid solutions of the 4 and 4a types the values of activity, activity coefficients, free energy of mixing, excess free energy of mixing are calculated. It is shown that stability of solid solutions decreases with the increase of difference between cerium cation radius and cation radius of the second lanthanoid in the composition of solid solution components. Factors, determining the composition of liquid solution, corresponding to the eutonic point, are mentioned
