Description

The validation method of beta analysis in urine sample radiation Minimum Detectable Activity workers have been carried out. The purpose of this study was to prove that beta analysis methods used in Laboratory in-vitro PPIKSN for internal radiation dose monitoring with the In-vitro method acceptable validity (valid). The analytical method used is precipitation radionuclide beta-emitter by using Sulkowitch reagent. Beta-emitter radionuclides are there in the urine sample is precipitate by Sulkowitch reagent then the precipitate that was obtained were centrifuged and then dried under a heating lamp and counting with Alpha-beta spectrometer. Standard solutions used is Sr-90 with activity 746.44 Bq/ml. Validation methods of analysis was done by determining linearity, accuracy, precision and Minimum Detectable Activity (MDA). From the research that has been done, the result indicated that the value of linearity (R = 09838), 91.61 % accuracy, precision 2.84, MDA 0.6250 cpm and the value of the measured activity of the sample spike (638.84 ± 67.84) Bq. According to the literature, the validation method is good when the value of linearity, R is greater than 0.98, accuracy in the range 90-107 % for 0.4 % of the analyte concentration and precision value if the Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) is less than 2.93. From the value of linearity, accuracy and precision obtained showed that the method of beta analysis in urine samples by deposition method is good or acceptable validity. (author)
