Some of the implications of the breaking of Nambu--Goldstone chiral symmetries are described including SU(3) x SU(3) as a symmetry of the strong interactions, perturbation theory about a Nambu--Goldstone symmetry, the breaking of chiral and SU(3) symmetries, and hadronic corrections to the Goldstone--Trieman relation.
