Description

Neutron cross sections for 241Am, sup(242m)Am, 243Am and 244Cm were evaluated for the KEDAK file. Gaps and deficiencies in differential data necessitated heavy use of model calculations and integral data, especially in the thermal range and above the resolved resonance region. Special features of the evaluation such as treatment of bound levels, reevaluation of resonance parameters including Monte Carlo generation of missing resonance widths, determination of level statistics and of optical-model and fission barrier parameters are briefly discussed. Recommended thermal cross sections and level-statistical parameters are given. Results are compared with some recent measurements and evaluations. (Auth.)
