Fluorescent X-ray radiometric determination of arsenic in the air and other environmental objects
Description
An express method for X-ray fluorescence arsenic determination in the air, food, biological materials and solid wastes using 238Pu isotope of 0.5-30 mCi radioactivity as a radiation source was developed. The minimal arsenic concentrations in the air were determined to be 0.001-0.005 mg/μ3 for 40-200 l sample volume. The accuracy of determination is 1.5-2%, sensitivity - 0.2 μg. Analysis results are affected neither by the form of arsenic chemical coumpound nor by other elements excluding lead. The latter increases the determination results if its content exceeds the arsenic content more than 103-104 times
