Revised and extended analysis of the fifth spectrum of tellurium: Te V

  • 1. Physics Dept., Aligarh Muslin Univ. (India)
  • 2. Saint Francis Xavier Univ., Antigonish, NS (Canada). Dept. of Phys.

Description

The spectrum of tellurium was recorded in the 300-1230 A region on a 3-m normal incidence spectrograph using a triggered spark source. The new data lead to the revision and extension of the earlier work in Te V spectrum. Out to the 36 earlier published levels, the values of 26 levels have been confirmed and ten levels have been rejected. Twenty additional levels have been identified, almost all of them are belonging to the doubly excited 5p6s and 5p5d configurations. Hartree-Fock and least-square-fitting parametric calculations were carried out to interpret the spectrum. One hundred and sixty (160) lines have been classified. (orig.)
