Effect of electron and neutron radiation on spectra of orange luminescence of specially undoped and copper-doped cadmium sulfide single crystals

Description
The CdS monocrystals, both alloyed and nonalloyed with copper (NCu 1018 cm-3) are studied. On the basis of analysis of dose dependencies intensity of orange luminescence (λM = 605 nm) of pure and alloyed samples by irradiation through E = 1.2 MeV electrons and fast reactor neutrons the conclusion is made on the complex character of centers, responsible for this luminescence. They consist of internodal cadmium and oxygen atoms
