MR imaging of diaphragmatic and juxtadiaphragmatic lesions in children

Description

This paper reports on a retrospective study done to compare MR imaging with CT and US in the diagnosis of diaphragmatic and juxtadiaphragmatic disease. MR examinations were performed in a 0.3-T permanent magnet with spin-echo T1- weighted sequences in the axial, coronal, and/or sagittal planes. Primary diaphragmatic lesions included eventration, traumatic rupture, and rhabdomyosarcoma. Juxtadiaphragmatic lesions were primary in either the chest or abdomen or involved both compartments. These include pulmonary sequestration, hiatal hernia, neuroblastoma, teratoma, and amebic abscess
