Production of 0.6-1.62 GeV/c cumulative pions in the pA → π±X reaction at incident proton energy of 10.14 GeV
Description
Invariant cross sections in the production of cumulative π± mesons on Be, Al, Cu, Ta nuclei at the angle of 119 deg in laboratory system induced by 10.14 GeV protons, are measured. The production of cumulative pions has the same peculiarities as the production of cumulative pions. This proves a similar mechanism of their production. The evidence on the change in the nature of dependence of invariant cross section on the transverse momentum at the cumulative number x ∼1, is obtained
