Isotope effect in initial retention of 80Br, 80mBr and 82Br in bromate systems

Description
The initial retentions of 80Br, 80mBr and 82Br isotopes in neutron activated alkali, alkaline earth and transition metal bromates were studied under identical conditions of irradiation. The initial retention of 80Br was found to be always lower than 80mBr and 82Br isotopes. It is found that the retention depended on the nature of the cation also. 5 refs. (author)
