Clinical applications of 124I PET/CT in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma
- 1. Department of Nuclear Medicine, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu (China)
Description
In the past few years, there has been an increasing interest in the clinical applications of 124I PET/CT in patients with DTC. By combining anatomical and functional imaging, 124I PET/CT allows accurate localization of lesions with or without iodine avidity, thus contributes to better staging of DTC. Furthermore, 124I PET/CT may be used as a guiding tool in dosimetry measurements for the therapeutic management of patients with DTC. In this paper, we reviewed the studies of 124I PET/CT in clinical diagnosis and treatment of DTC. (authors)
