Structural instabilities in Heisenberg antiferromagnets with spin-lattice interaction
Description
The antiferromagnetic S = 1/2 Heisenberg model in one dimension with anisotropic exchange interaction depending on the lattice configuration is dealt with. The emphasis is done in the derivation fo the thermodynamic properties of the model. In addition to the smooth structural transformation starting at T = 0 reported in a previous communication, we find a new sudden transition at a finite temperature. (author). 4 refs, 3 figs
