Stochastic quasi-Gaussian models of atmospheric clouds
- 1. Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics SB RAS, Novosibirsk (Russian Federation)
Description
Random field simulation methods that can be used to simulate the stochastic structure of three-dimensional clouds are discussed. Examples of homogeneous random field realizations that reproduce one-dimensional distributions and correlation functions of experimental fields of stratus optical thicknesses are presented. (paper)
