Production of shape isomers in nuclear reactions and in β-decay

Description

The regularities of the production of shape isomers (spontaneously fissioning isomers) in nuclear reactions and in β-decay are discussed. From the experimentally measured probabilities of the isomer production there were obtained the calues for the hindrance factors for transitions connected with the change of the nucleus shape. The dependence of the hindrance factors on the nucleus mass and charge, on the excitation energy and the level nature is analysed
