Three-dimensional analysis of sloshing problems using a boundary element method, 2

Description

A three-dimensional analysis method for potential flow with moving liquid surfaces using a boundary element method-(BEM) has been developed. The flow is treated as potential flow and is solved by BEM. The Bernoulli equation is integrated by the Stiffly Stable 3rd algorithm. The structures are modeled by isoparametric shell elements of the finite element method and by Green's strain tensor. The equation of an elastic body is integrated by the Newmark-β method. The equations of flow and structures are alternately solved at each time step. (author)
