Control of Pc3 pulsations in the solar wind and at the Earth by the interplanetary magnetic field

Description
Properties of Pc 3-4 geomagnetic pulsations and their relations to interplanetary magnetic field parameters have been investigated. Great statistical differences in the pulsations properties and regularities in the Pc 3 range observed before the near-Earth shock wave front and on the Earth surface are detected. Linear dimensions of the region that coinsided with the extent of shock front diffused ion generation region, determined from the satellite data are estimated
