Structural peculiarities of isotope-substituted aqueous methanol solutions of the noble gases
- 1. Institute of the Chemistry of Nonaqueous Solutions, Ivanovo, USSR
Description
In this work they studied the solubility of Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe in a mixture of water and methanol of various degrees of isotope substitution (CH3OH-H2O, CD3OH-H2O, CH3OD-D2O, CD3OD-D2). The experimental data are presented in the form of solvomolar absorption coefficients A/sub sm, on the basis of which the isotope effect δA/sub sm/ (the difference of the solubility of the noble gas in the given deutero-substituted solvent and in a solvent with a different isotope substitution of the same composition) were calculated
