Description
An intense muon source for muon nuclear transformation, in particular, to mitigate the long lived fission products of nuclear reactor wastes is presented. The scheme is based on MERIT (multiplex energy recovery internal target) ring. Negative muon production of more than 1016μ-/s seems to be possible with this scheme. (author)
