One-particle inclusive spectra of charged particles in the PP interactions at 22,4 GeV/C

Description

Results are presented of the study of inclusive single-particle spectra of secondary charged particles in non-elastic pp-interactions with the value of momentum being 22.4 GeV/sec. The values of transverse momenta and have been obtained for positive and negative secondary particles, as well as for identified nucleons and pions with a momentum Psub(lab)<1.5 GeV/sec. A characteristic feature of particle interaction at high energies is the presence of a quasi-elastic process of fragmentation of the beam or target particles. For the channel antipp - p +X an estimate of the cross-section for antiproton fragmentation has been obtained for various topologies in the events with the proton momentum Psub(lab) smaller than 1.5 GeV/sec
