New results in the dual parton model: Diffraction and KNO scaling violations

  • 1. Laboratoire de Physique Theorique et Particules Elementaires, Universite de Paris XI, Batiment 211, 91405 Orsay (France)

Description

The dual portion model give a natural explanation of the main features of high mass diffraction dissociation. Its predictions about KNO scaling violations are now confirmed by new experimental data presented at this Conference by UA5 and NA22 collaborations
