Draft statement of the Council for a programme on nuclear power plant shutdown
Description
The measures proposed relate to the following subjects: 1) Long-term integration of buildings and systems; 2) decontamination for shutdown purposes; 3) disassembly methods; 4) treatment of special wastes: Steel, concrete, and graphite; 5) large transport containers for the radioactive waste obtained in the EC during nuclear power plant shutdown; 6) effects of constructional features of nuclear power plants on their shutdown. Die vorgeschlagenen Aktionen betreffen folgende Themen: 1) Langfristige Integritaet von Gebaeuden und Systemen; 2) Dekontaminierung fuer Stillegungszwecke; 3) Demontageverfahren; 4) Behandlung spezifischer Abfaelle: Stahl, Beton und Graphit; 5) grosse Transportbehaelter fuer beim Abbruch von KKW's anfallende radioaktive Abfaelle; 6) Schaetzung der Mengen radioaktiver Abfaelle, die bei der Stillegung von KKWs in der Gemeinschaft anfallen; 7) Einfluss konstruktiver Eigenschaften von KKWs auf die Stillegung.
