Immune response of mice to protracted administration of tritium oxide

Description
A study was made of the chronic effect of tritium oxide administered in daily dosages of 37x104 and 3x7x104 Bq/g body weight on the immune response of mice during the 90-day course (cumulative doses of 4.1 and 0.39 Gy, respectively). It was shown that the effect of tritium oxide on the antibody- and rosette-forming capaciy of splenocytes of immunized mice is function of radiation dose. The total immune response, throughout the entire period of observation, was 1.8 time lower than in the control at a dose of 37x104 Bq/g, and it did not vary from the control at a dose of 3.7x104 Bq/g. Differences were noted in the response of T-and B-cells to protracted administration of the radionuclide
