Description
The paper reviews the searches for quarks in matter. Results of the exploration of different kinds of material at the milligram level are listed. These experiments have yielded mainly negative results and no quarks were found in steel or Hg. Results at the microgram level for H2O are also negative. Experiments in progress and experiments in construction, of searches for quarks, are briefly discussed. (U.K.)
