New results on the numerical solving of the Faddeev equations

Description
The authors developed the mathematically correct scheme for solving boundary value problems for modified Faddeev equations for bound states and scattering processes in three-particle charged systems. Using this method they calculate low-energy scattering characteristics in p-d and n-d collision, namely phase shifts, inelasticity coefficients, elastic cross sections and breakup amplitudes. Within the configuration space formulation they also worked out the algorithm for solving spectral problem for modified Faddeev equations. With this algorithm they calculate energies and bound states wavefunctions of nuclei 3H, 3He and positronium ion e-e+e- and test obtained wavefunctions. The new approach for the applicability of differential Faddeev equations are calculations of static properties of baryons. The mass spectra and wavefunctions of baryons form multiplets of spinparity Jp=I/2+,3/2+ are investigated in on-relativistic quark model. The structure parameters which define the quality of the baryon wavefunctions are calculated. It is shown that the majority of the popular quark-quark potentials do not reproduce high quality wavefunctions in spite of the good fit tor the hadron masses
