Numerical simulation of the behaviour of rubber sealing joints in large containment penetrations

Description
The discussion in this paper, as many other cases, shows how a numerical simulation based on experimental data applied to specific design problems with incompressible elastic materials allows analyses to be carried out and the thermo-mechanical behaviour of a mechanical components to be determined. The efficiency of the numerical process will be checked during the test campaign to be carried out in 1997. (Author)
