Geological survey using the pole-pole method at the Bangka Island Nuclear Power Plant site

  • 1. Pusat Pengembangan Energy Nuklir, JI. Kuningan Barat, Mampang Prapatan Jakarta 12710, (Indonesia)

Description

A Nuclear Power Plant Site Study for Initial Subsurface Conditions is an information system based on primary data and field survey results used to process and analyze both existing and field measurement data and present information visually. Information can be presented in an integrated manner, especially regarding site and environmental research aspects to support the feasibility of the Nuclear Power Plant site. The purpose of this activity is to analyze subsurface aspects of the Nuclear Power Plant site in order to compile a database. The activity is carried out by collecting primary data, conducting field surveys to gather the latest site data, interpreting geophysical measurement results using the pole-pole method with the Ares instrument, which can penetrate depths of up to 400 meters, greatly assisting in determining the characteristics of the subsurface conditions of the Nuclear Power Plant site in parts of the Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency.
