Low-temperature radiational oxidation of SO2

Description
Principle possibility of SO2 oxidation by oxygen in γ-radiolyzed systems SO2 + O2 at 77 K and in conditions of posteffect was shown experimentally. The optimal initial mole ratio of the reagents, SO2 : O2 = 1 : 4, was found, permitting the maximum conservation of SO2 (∼ 20%)
