Angiography and computerized tomography - competing methods

The computerized tomography in some ways renders angiography in mediastinal vascular processes super fluous. For cases which cannot be clarified using computerized tomography, preoperative cases and suspect of aorta dissection, angiography is still the selected method. (orig.)

Die Computertomographie macht bei mediastinalen Gefaessprozessen die Angiographie in manchen Faellen ueberfluessig. Bei computertomographisch nicht abklaerbaren Faellen, praeoperativ und bei Verdacht auf Aortendissektion bleibt die Angiographie weiterhin die Methode der Wahl. (orig.)
