Description

The low temperature dependence of the sound velocity in bulk helium and helium film based on the anomalous dispersion spectrum is evaluated by the method used by Andreev and Khalatnikov. In the 3D case this gives only a marginal difference from the results of earlier works and agrees very well with experimental data. Contrary to the 3D sound velocity, the 2D sound velocity decreases as temperature increases. (Author)
