Shell-model basis for the isospin conserving version of the interacting boson model (IBM3)
Description
In this paper a microscopic interpretation of IBMs is made within a single j-shell (f(7/2)) of neutrons and protons. A subset of Shell-Model states within the Flowers classification is mapped onto the s and d states of IBM3. An IBM3 Hamiltonian is extracted from an amplitude analysis of Shell-Model eigenstates in the s-d boson basis. This is used to calculate spectra of 46Ti and 48Cr which are then compared to the respective 6 and 8 nucleon Shell-Model results. Comments on the N-Dependence, Renormalization and inclusion of the g-boson in the IBM3 Hamiltonian are made
