Electric dipole transitions in neutron-rich nuclei

Description
Structures of neutron-rich nuclei in several isotopes are investigated by shell model calculations. Reasonable agreement is obtained with available experimental data for the photoreaction cross sections in 12C, 13C, and 14C with the inclusion of the quenching effects. It is pointed out that the quadrupole and magnetic moments in the odd C isotopes strongly depend on configuration. The electric quadrupole (E2) transitions in even C isotopes are also studied. The E1 strength in 18N and 19N as well as in Ne isotopes is also investigated

Расчеты по оболочечной модели используются для изучения структуры некоторых изотопов ядер с избытком нейтронов. Получено согласие с экспериментальными данными для сечений фото-реакций на 12C, 13C и 14C с учетом эффектов подавления. Обнаружено, что квадрупольные и магнитные моменты нечетных С изотопов сильно зависят от конфигурации. Изучаются электрические квадрупольные переходы (Е2) в четных изотопах С.
