Description

On the basis of analysis of the Kokchetav massif structural features and on the basis of the previously published and new isotope datings one substantiated for the first time the important role of the Early Ordovician tectonic processes in the evolution of the rocks of the mentioned massif. One carried out the 40Ar/39Ar-dating of the muscovites from quartz-muscovite schists of the accretion prism. The obtained datings (490-478 million years) correspond to the age of schist formation and, respectively, to the age of formation of the accretion prism of the Kokchetav massif
