Extraction theory and form of the extraction complex for the metals curium, americium, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, and gadolinium in the synergistic system kerosene/HTTA/TBP/dilute HNO3
Description
Analysis of distribution data in the synergistic system kerosene/HTTA/TBP/dilute HNO3 indicates that americium, curium, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, and gadolinium are extracted into the organic phase as M(TTA)2(TBP)2(NO3). Except for americium and neodymium, extraction factors are greater than 2.0 or less than 0.5 with respect to curium. Limited data verify the mathematical model modified for higher than negligible metal concentration
