Plutonium Finishing Plant operational readiness review

Description

This plan describes the readiness review process to be used to meet the objectives to support the restart of the Plutonium Finishing Plant (PFP) to convert the chemically-acting plutonium-bearing materials to a form suitable for processing in the remote mechanical ''C'' (RMC) line. The scope of this plan will cover the restart readiness review needs of the PFP Material Stabilization program. The objective of the stabilization campaign is to reduce the potential hazards associated with the continued presence and storage of plutonium-bearing materials at PFP. The readiness review scope is broken down into six major functional areas: management controls, administrative controls, personnel readiness, equipment and systems, environmental, safety, health, and quality assurance, and supplemental closeout activities
