Description
Possibility of gelatin application for luminescence terbium determination is studied. It is shown that gelatin forms complex compounds with terbium ions, in which terbium shows intensive luminescence. Luminescence intensity dependence on the content of gelatin added is presented. Luminescence intensity reaches its maximum at gelatin content 3.6 μg/ml ( terbium concentration 2x10-4M). Optimum pH value of the solution is 8.0-9.0. Possibility of terbium determination in the presence of yttrium is shown. The lower boundary of terbium content determined in the presence of gelatin is 1x10-4 μg/ml variation coefficient at terbium concentration of 1-4 μg/ml is 3.08-0.36%
