IMP and HIRFL annual report 2001
Description
In 2001, the experimental activities of nuclear physics in IMP were still concentrated on the researches with radioactive ion beams. The most of theoretical investigations of nuclear physics were to emphasize the isospin effects in heavy ion collisions. The irradiation effects of solid materials and biology molecules were studied extensively. Experimental investigations of the atomic physics of highly charged heavy ion such as resonant transfer, excitation and state selective electron capture for hydrogen-like uranium by international co-operations are reported here. The progress of the project of CSR was made. In 2001, there were a lot of efforts devoted to the development of techniques, including control technique, electronics and detector techniques
